How Does it Work?

All training sessions are provided free-of charge, and all supplies are included and brought to the session. These include, syringes, training vials of water, in addition to a real naloxone kit for each participant to take home with them.

Sessions begin with an overview of naloxone; how it works, and how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose. The “SAVE ME” steps to respond to an overdose are taught, as well as when to call 911, and what to do until paramedics arrive. Each participant uses a syringe and a water vial to practice drawing up and injecting the drug.

Due to the hands-on nature of the sessions, smaller numbers are preferable to ensure that each participant feels confident to ask questions and practice with the supplies. For larger groups, send us a message and we will do our best to make it work!

We Come to You!

Due to our small team of volunteers, we ask that you provide the location for the training session. This often works better for businesses and organizations, as we can come directly to you during your lunch-break or otherwise to deliver training! Easy for you, easy for us!
